Job summary

CloudKitchens in the San Francisco Bay Area is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform repairs across multiple sites, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and general maintenance. You will travel between Bay Area sites, Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities.

Independent work is common, and restaurant/hospitality maintenance experience is a plus. Compensation ranges from $22.00 to $26.25/hour plus overtime and full benefits, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision,

Qualifications

• 2+ years handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced field role.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites: drywall, tiling, painting, shelving, and floor upkeep.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance on building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical.
• Travel between sites in the Greater Bay Area to troubleshoot and keep kitchens operational.

What you’ll do

Facilities Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform general repairs across multiple sites, including:
  • Drywall, patching, and painting
  • Tiling and basic masonry
  • Shelving and equipment installation
  • Floor repairs and upkeep
  • Exterior maintenance (roofs, gutters, landscaping)

Preventative Maintenance

• Conduct routine maintenance on building systems:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
• Identify issues early and prevent costly breakdowns

Site Operations Support

• Travel between multiple sites(number of sites varyby region) throughout the week across the Greater Bay area
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day facility issues
• Partner with internal teams to keep kitchens fully operational

What your week looks like

• 60% hands-on repairs and maintenance
• 25% preventative maintenance
• 15% inspections, troubleshooting, and support

What we’re looking for

Required

• 2+ years of handyman, maintenance, or facilities experience
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based role
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Preferred

• 3+ years of commercial facilities maintenance experience
• Experience in restaurants, hospitality, or multi-site environments
• HVAC/R experience or trade school background

Work Environment & Schedule

• Field-based role across the Greater Bay Area
• Local travel between sites (home daily)
• Monday–Friday schedule
• On-call rotation and overtime opportunities
