Job summary

City of Twin Falls is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform skilled maintenance at the detention facility, emphasizing HVAC, electrical, plumbing and electronic systems. Responsibilities include repairs, records, and upkeep of tools, with potential work in confined spaces and hazards; work under a Lead Maintenance Mechanic.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, advanced skilled trades training, and a valid Idaho driver’s license, plus the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Background check including fingerprints and polygraph.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire control and mechanical systems.
• Repair furniture, fixtures, and building components.
• Maintain work orders, inspections, records, and safety practices.
• Coordinate with colleagues and manage priorities on time-sensitive tasks.
• Offer courteous responses to inquiries from officials, staff and the public.
