Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to support maintenance across U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers, and other U-Haul sites within a defined geographic area. Earn while you learn with two hands-on interviews and earned bonuses, including a $100 hiring bonus and a $300 completion bonus after certification.

The role requires operation of basic tools, adherence to safety rules, and collaboration with maintenance and skilled staff.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate commercial vehicles.
• Adhere to local, state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand and power tools effectively.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Carry out tasks like nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility upkeep.
• Assist with cleanup at renovation sites and complete work requests promptly.
• Support skilled workers as needed and participate in ongoing U-Haul education.
