Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Facility Maintenance Helper to support maintenance across U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers, and related facilities. The role involves hands-on work with tools, general maintenance, repairs, and site clean-up to ensure safe, functional facilities.

Qualified applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. The position offers opportunities for advancement and a range of benefits, with pay ranging from $20 to $22

Responsibilities

• Effectively work with a variety of hand/ power tools.
• Perform general maintenance, installation, repair and service.
• Perform work requiring nailing, sawing, cutting, painting and basic facility maintenance
• Perform clean-up duties at renovation sites.
• Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assists skilled workers in the performance of all duties when necessary.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

The Facility Maintenance Helper will assist in the facility maintenance of all U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers and other U-Haul facilities within a geographical area.

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts or machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching or similar activities, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Pay Range is: $20 - $22 Hourly
