Job summary

Walmart is seeking an experienced Electrician/Facilities Maintenance technician in Fort Smith, AR to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facilities, equipment, and fixtures. You will diagnose issues, use blueprints, order parts, and coordinate with contractors while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in the electrical trade.
• Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent in state of work.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• License in related trade in city and/or state of work

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Inspects, cleans, and repairs facilities, equipment, or fixtures.
• Diagnoses problems using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary.
• Orders parts and replacement equipment and tracks orders.
• Maintains and coordinates maintenance schedules and work orders.
• On-call rotation approximately every 4–6 weeks to support business needs outside standard hours.
