Job summary

Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment (BKSE) is seeking a Facility Maintenance Coordinator, Operations to oversee maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency across BKSE properties, ensuring safety and compliance with DOB codes. You will manage staffing, work orders, and vendor coordination with a collaborative internal team.

The role requires 1–2 years in facility/event management, a relevant degree, and strong communication, project management, and customer service skills.

Qualifications

  • Technical knowledge: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, building controls, fire/life-safety systems.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, fire/life-safety systems, building envelope, and site grounds.
  • Assign, supervise and support maintenance technicians, custodial staff, and outside contractors; track work orders and verify quality/completion.
  • Manage the facility work-order system: create, prioritize, update, and close work orders; maintain asset and inventory records.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and document deficiencies; recommend repairs, replacements, and lifecycle planning.
  • Coordinate vendor selection, obtain quotes, negotiate contracts, and monitor vendor performance and compliance with service-level agreements.
  • Maintain spare parts, tools, and supplies inventory; order materials and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA, fire codes, ADA, environmental and company policies; coordinate required inspections and permits.
  • Respond to and coordinate resolution of maintenance emergencies (power outages, HVAC failures, water leaks, safety hazards) including after-hours on-call duties as required.
  • Assist with capital projects, Office moves, and facility improvement initiatives; act as liaison with key internal stake holders.
  • Prepare and manage maintenance budgets, track expenses, and report on KPIs such as response times, uptime, and maintenance costs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, service records, and safety logs; develop and update preventative maintenance schedule.

Summary

The Facility Maintenance Coordinator, Operations for Brooklyn Sport & Entertainment, oversees the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all BKSE properties, ensuring safety, functionality, and compliance with all DOB regulations. Travel Requirements
  • 25% travel required, primarily within Brooklyn and the New York City area.
SALARY RANGE

$66,500 - $68,500 base salary

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The incumbent will be based in an office environment but may travel to different BKSE properties as needed.
