Job summary

Legends Global in Missouri seeks a Facility Maintenance Worker to ensure venue functionality before, during, and after events. You will perform painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, masonry and carpentry tasks and manage maintenance projects.

The role requires 2+ years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, strong safety awareness, and the ability to read blueprints and schedules. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate and follow directions effectively in English verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with safety practices and OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to read blueprints and maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and solve problems quickly.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including days, evenings, nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance across the facility.
  • Paint interior/exterior and maintain bathrooms, lighting, HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
  • Inspect systems and coordinate with outside vendors for repairs.
  • Maintain tools inventory and update maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Assist with material purchases and event setup tasks.
  • Respond to emergencies such as power outages or water leaks.
  • Adhere to Safety Policies and OSHA guidelines.

Job description

Job Summary

Facility Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the functionality of the venue prior, during and after events. Performs various maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, mechanical repairs, snow removal and electrical or construction tasks as they arise to ensure the venue is looking and functioning to its best potential. This position is also involved in the alteration, maintenance and repair of building equipment and assigned maintenance projects.

Essential Duties

Performs repairs, preventative and regularly scheduled maintenance projects including general overall maintenance of the facility as needed. Responsible for overall maintenance including painting of interior/exterior, elevator repair, bathroom maintenance, upkeep of air‑conditioning and heating, electrical and plumbing work, other repairs/maintenance as needed.

  • Assists with inspecting systems throughout the facility to detect malfunctions and determine a solution for repair. May be responsible for coordinating with outside vendors on repair and maintenance.
  • Repairs facility systems and equipment as needed including washrooms, fixtures, pumps, building lighting, AC/DC drives, etc. to maintain all facility equipment in good working condition.
  • Maintains a well‑defined and organized system within the shop for inventory, maintenance, and storage of all tools, products, materials, and equipment necessary to execute the required activities of the department.
  • Accurately and efficiently maintain and update maintenance logs and work orders.
  • Assists with the purchase of work materials as needed/directed.
  • Assists other operations departments to expedite tasks as needed, including but not limited to event set up and seat & riser maintenance and housekeeping. Respond to emergency situations, such as power outages or water leaks.
  • Adhere to all ASM Global Safety Policies and Procedures while performing within all OSHA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
  • Years of related work experience: 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate and follow directions effectively in English verbally and in writing.
  • Basic knowledge and computer skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge & skill using tools, equipment, methods, practices and materials of trades involved in facility operations and work arrangements.
  • Awareness and knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions associated with this type of work.
  • Ability to understand and work from general instructions and specifications and to follow blueprints, sketches and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Ability to prioritize workload, solve problems quickly and react to difficult situations appropriately.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and work effectively in a high‑pressure and fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with staff at all levels including supervisors, coworkers and sub‑contractors and others encountered in the course of employment.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and some holidays.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to walk/stand extensively, kneel, climb to high walkways, balance, bend, stoop, and maneuver to all areas of the facility safely.
  • Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders and elevated platforms.
  • Frequently lift, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work inside and outside the building is required, with possible exposure to adverse conditions.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts and noise.
  • Must be able to hear and speak to use a two‑way radio.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Trade school certification.
