Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist to join our locums network in the Tucson area. The role includes clinic and hospital GI care, with a balanced on-call rotation and endoscopy procedures.

ACLS certification and fellowship training are required, with supervision of GI fellows and collaborative credentialing support provided by CompHealth.

Qualifications

• GI fellowship-trained physician with ACLS certification.
• Experience performing GI endoscopy and related procedures.
• Ability to supervise GI fellows during complex cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide GI care in clinic and hospital settings with a rotation schedule.
• Perform endoscopy procedures as required.
• Supervise GI fellows and mentor colleagues.
• Navigate credentialing and privileging processes with ease.
• Coordinate housing, travel, and onboarding through CompHealth team.

• Mon - Fri schedule with night and weekend call in equal rotation
• Clinic: 20 scheduled patients per day -- hospital: 20+ patients on service
• 5 - 10 new consults per day with 75% converting to procedures
• Split coverage across two facilities -- clinic and hospital campuses
