Job summary

Diversified Foods and Seasoning in Theodore, AL, is seeking a detailed Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across production areas, offices, and restrooms.

The role involves cleaning floors, equipment, restrooms, disposing waste, restocking supplies, and following GMP, HACCP and OSHA standards. Prior janitorial experience is preferred.

You will work with the sanitation team to support efficient plant operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent time management and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all facility areas, including production floors, offices, restrooms, and break rooms.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and disinfect floors and surfaces as required.
• Empty trash bins, clean receptacles, and properly dispose of waste.
• Clean and sanitize production equipment and tools as needed to support sanitation standards.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and cleaning materials.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely (e.g., floor scrubbers, vacuums, pressure washers).
• Follow all safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
• Report maintenance issues, spills, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate cleaning logs and checklists as required.
• Perform additional housekeeping or utility tasks as assigned by the Sanitation Supervisor.

The Housekeeper

The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and sanitation of the facility to ensure a safe and efficient working environment. This position supports plant operations by cleaning production areas, offices, and restrooms, disposing of waste, and performing general housekeeping and light maintenance duties according to company and regulatory standards.
