Job summary

Life Time Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Fitness Equipment Technician. You’ll learn on the job to maintain and repair fitness equipment in a resort-style environment, focus on safety, and perform preventative maintenance to keep gear functioning reliably. You’ll coordinate repairs with club management and help manage repair budgets and parts orders.

The role offers on-site training and a benefits package. CPR/AED certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
• CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Ensures equipment on the fitness floor is operating safely.
• Keeps record of repairs performed on equipment.
• Maintains electrical components, audio/video systems, basic plumbing and overall general building tasks.
• Performs preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is working.
• Updates purchase orders, orders parts for repairs, and creates a timeframe for part delivery.
• Helps the Department Head with managing the budget.
