Job summary

Prolec Energy is seeking a driven Facility Engineer to support our manufacturing operations and facility systems. You will ensure efficient plant operations, lead capital projects, and implement process improvements.

Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Project Leadership, and Engineering to drive initiatives and operational excellence. The role requires hands-on engineering work on electrical, automation, and process systems in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant maintenance or facility experience.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
  • Experience with PLC programming, industrial automation, and power systems.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems integration.
  • Technical knowledge of power systems, controls, and automation.
  • Ability to lead projects and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of facility and production systems.
  • Lead capital investment projects from concept through implementation and startup.
  • Design, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC systems, controls, and automation solutions.
  • Drive productivity improvements and cost reduction.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors/consultants.
  • Support and upgrade electrical, HVAC, fire/security, oil, vacuum, and process systems.
  • Facility expansions, consolidations, and improvements.
  • Analyze performance and identify opportunities for process redesign.
  • Ensure reliable operation of critical plant infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
  • Provide technical leadership and support cross-functional project teams.

Job description

We are seeking a driven and technically skilled Facility Engineer to support our manufacturing operations and facility systems. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient plant operations, leading capital projects, and implementing process improvements that reduce costs and increase productivity.

You’ll work in a collaborative environment, partnering with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Maintenance, Project Leadership, and Engineering to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
