Job summary

Lt. Col. Luke Weathers Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, TN seeks an Electrician responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of electrical systems in a complex medical facility.

You will install, repair, test and verify loads on electrical lines, panels, wiring and related equipment. Compliance with the National Electrical Code and facility plans is essential. Work Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Experience or training demonstrating ability to perform work of an electrician.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints and plans to lay out routes and installations.
• Ensure safe operation of electrical systems and adherence to codes.
