Job description

Who We Are

You’ll be joining a diverse and ambitious team, spread across Germany, Canada, and Spain, all working together to shape the future of sustainable energy. At PowerCo we celebrate collaboration, progress and that spark that turns bold ideas into real impact. From our new gigafactory in Sagunto (Valencia), we’re driving a project that’s transforming both the region and the future of clean mobility in Europe — and you can be part of it.

Your Role And Key Responsibilities

This position will be part of our Operations Department, the heart of PowerCo — where innovation becomes reality. This area brings together multiple teams working on the construction of our gigafactory and the different stages of battery cell production. From engineering and design to process optimization and production excellence, Operations is where the future of energy takes shape.

As our Facility Design & Infrastructure Engineering Expert, you’ll develop and integrate the building infrastructure that enables safe, efficient and reliable battery production. Your work will connect architecture, utilities, production equipment, and regulatory requirements from initial concepts through detailed design.

In Your Day-to-day, You Will
  • Develop architectural, facility and infrastructure concepts for battery production plants, including clean and dry rooms designed in line with ISO 14644-1 requirements, environmental conditions and dew-point targets.
  • Design HVAC, dehumidification and dedusting solutions, together with utility systems for water, compressed air, cooling water, process gases and chemicals.
  • Develop media connection and piping concepts, define interfaces between production equipment and facility systems, and translate operational needs into clear technical specifications and engineering requirements.
  • Integrate engineering solutions into BIM and 3D models, lead clash detection, and coordinate interfaces across architectural, mechanical, electrical, process, and production disciplines.
  • Develop fire protection concepts and risk assessments, coordinate permitting activities with the relevant authorities, and support design reviews, technical clarifications and change management while ensuring safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
What You Bring To The Team
  • University degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial or Building Services Engineering, together with at least 5 years of experience in facility design, infrastructure engineering or industrial construction.
  • Proven knowledge of cleanroom and dry room design, ISO 14644-1, HVAC, dehumidification, utilities, fire protection, BIM coordination and regulatory compliance, combined with strong multidisciplinary coordination and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to work in Sagunto. Please note that while some positions are currently based in Valencia, our operations will progressively move to Sagunto, so we require availability to work there from the start.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts.
What Makes You Stand Out
  • Experience in battery manufacturing, automotive, semiconductor, pharmaceutical or another technically demanding industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of BIM and coordination tools such as Revit or Navisworks, as well as experience with permitting processes and Spanish or European building regulations.
What To Look Forward To
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Competitive salary aligned with the Spanish Chemical Industry Collective Agreement.
  • 25 vacation days a year + extra PowerCo Days to truly disconnect.
  • Full health insurance coverage for you.
  • Gympass membership to keep your body and mind in top shape.
  • Monthly meal allowance through Cobee.
  • Permanent contract — we’re building something to last.
  • Employee discounts, including special rates on vehicles from the Group.
