Job summary

Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is seeking a dedicated Custodian/Janitor to perform building and grounds maintenance, ensuring a clean, safe, and functional environment for staff and the public in Fayetteville, NC.

Responsibilities include cleaning, sanitation of restrooms, replenishing supplies, operating vacuums and carpet cleaners, reporting issues, assisting with courier loading, and following all CCSO safety policies.

Qualifications

• Completion of 8th grade with 6 months of janitorial/maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, and wipe furniture; clean restrooms and sanitize facilities.
• Vacuum, shampoo carpets, and maintain floors; handle waste and recycling.
• Inspect and report building or safety issues; assist courier loads and movement of items.
• Attend to emergencies or spills and follow all CCSO policies and safety rules.
• Maintain exterior areas and ensure security of building; operate cleaning equipment as required.
