Job summary

Sierra Health and Wellness seeks a Facility Cook in Angleton, TX to provide nutritious meals for clients and live-in staff, while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen following agency policies and state/local regulations.

You will help create weekly menus within budget, ensure dietary needs are met, monitor supplies, and maintain sanitary conditions. CPR/First Aid training is preferred or obtained on hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs and restrictions.
• Must have Food Handler’s Card.
• CPR/First Aid training or obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares balanced, nutritious meals for clients following dietary guidelines.
• Assists weekly menu development within budget and ingredient availability.
• Maintains a clean, sanitized kitchen per health regulations and protocols.
• Monitors supplies and supports ordering while minimizing waste.
• Shows creativity in meal preparation and presentation.
• Interacts professionally with clients and team members.
• Follows food handling regulations for proper temperatures and storage.
• Engages in proper and safe food storage after each meal.
