Job summary

GDI Services (Canada) LP is seeking a full-time janitor to handle cleaning of floors, carpets, washrooms, and common areas across facilities. Duties include sweeping, mopping, window washing on request, and trash collection in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements include the ability to follow directions, use cleaning equipment, own transportation, and a strong commitment to detail, service quality, and energy. A criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to take direction and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Must have own transportation.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, pride in service, organization and high energy.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and surfaces inside buildings.
• Strip and wax floors, steam clean carpets, and clean windows on request.
• Wash windowsills and interior/exterior doors; spot-clean walls as needed.
• Clean bathrooms and restock supplies daily; damp-wipe glass, dust sills and shelves.
• Light maintenance: report clogged urinals and lights, replace liners, monitor fixtures.
• Assist supervisor with assigned duties and move between buildings as required.
• Collect trash daily and place in designated collection area for removal.
