Job summary

empirical foods, inc. is seeking a janitorial associate to maintain a clean and safe plant environment. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, production areas, and offices, sanitizing surfaces, and handling trash removal with attention to safety and odor control.

Flexible hours including weekends are required, and the role may involve operating ride-on scrubbers and other cleaning equipment. Prior janitorial experience is advantageous but not required.

Qualifications

• Read and understand cleaning labels.
• Follow simple written and verbal instructions.
• Operate small power or hand tools.
• Operate machinery and equipment, such as ride-on scrubbers.
• Basic computer skills are not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum all areas assigned: bathrooms, locker rooms, hallways, stairwells, welfare areas, and production offices.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas, free from slippery surfaces and debris.
• Clean and sanitize walls, windows, tables, floors, and similar surfaces.
• Empty trash and garbage containers; pick up debris inside and outside the facility.
• Observe repairs or issues and report to management.
• Operate various motorized cleaning equipment and maintain/store equipment properly.
• Perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
