Job summary

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write.
• Valid driver''s license may be required for some positions.
• Lift and carry objects of 25–50 lbs daily; operate broom and mop.
• Conform to safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to climb stairs and work around cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Care and cleaning of buildings (garages, offices, classrooms, entryways, restrooms).
• Clean floors (sweep, mop, wax); empty trash; dust furniture; clean windows.
• May sweep and shovel snow.
• May order cleaning supplies and equipment repairs as needed.
• May use disinfectants and cleaning equipment or methods as required.
• Prepare rooms for meetings by setting up chairs, tables and equipment.
• May perform building security duties (locking/unlocking doors, checking windows, turning lights on/off, reporting repairs).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
