Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery with multiple locations, dedicated to high quality and a warm, inviting atmosphere. We are seeking a Facility Cleaner to uphold safety and sanitation standards across the production and grounds.

The ideal candidate will perform dishwashing, uniform laundering, and general cleaning, while supporting the daily setup for the Production Department. Open availability and a strong attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Current authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation to work.
• Willingness to work in a hot/cold and humid environment.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hours.

Responsibilities

• Dishwashing and cleaning duties within the facility.
• Laundering uniforms and maintaining cleanliness across buildings and grounds.
• Setting up Production Department stations for daily baking.
• Performing basic equipment upkeep and repairs.
• Wiping down/dusting dock doors and equipment.
• Ensuring restrooms and spaces remain sanitary at all times.

Fresh Baguette is a fast-growing, artisanal bakery known for its high-quality standards and modern atmosphere. The company was founded in Bethesda, MD in 2013, to bring fresh, made-from-scratch organic breads, pastries, sweets, and croissant items inspired by bakeries in France to the DMV area. We have expanded to nine retail locations, two production bakeries, and a thriving wholesale business. We serve coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, and grocery stores with fresh products every day, 365 days a year.

As a Facility Cleaner at Fresh Baguette, you can expect perform a range of duties while maintaining all mandatory safety and sanitation standards throughout the building and grounds.

• Dishwashing
• Laundering uniforms
• Providing cleaning services within buildings and grounds such as emptying trash cans, removing debris, cleaning rest rooms, vacuuming, sweeping, sanitizing, and mopping
• Setting up the stations throughout the Production Department for the day's baking
• Performing basic equipment repairs
• Wiping down/dusting dock doors and various equipment
• Performing routine check-ins to check that spaces like restrooms are always sanitary

Shift Range

For this position, you must have open availability to work any day of the week:

• Full-Time: 32-40 hours per week
• 7-8 hour shifts
• 4PM-12AM
• Monday-Friday
• Weekends

Qualifications

• Proficient in ability to switch between tasks and responsibilities as needed
• Ability to work in a standing position for 8+ hours shift
• Physical Requirements: This role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 75+ lbs, and performing routine bending, reaching, and movement in a retail environment.
• Ability to follow given procedure
• Ability to adhere to company safety and food safety guidelines
• Prior experience as a janitor, custodian, facility cleaner or porter (Preferred)
• Prior experience working in food production or similar environment that prioritized high quality assurance standards in sanitization and food safety (Preferred)
