The City of Murfreesboro is seeking a Facility Attendant to support the Old Fort Golf Club’s daily operations in Murfreesboro, TN. You will assist with carts, driving range duties, and guest services while helping with tournaments and events.

The role emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere for all guests, with opportunities to support shop staff and a range of golfing activities.

Formación

• Must be at least sixteen years of age.

• Collect, wash, and replenish driving range balls throughout the day.
• Maintain cleanliness of driving range stations and surrounding areas.
• Assist with tournament and outing preparation, including signage and setup.
• Support golf shop staff with daily operations and guest needs.
• Operate golf carts and range equipment safely.
• Complete opening, closing, and daily operational duties.
• Identify safety concerns and report maintenance issues to supervisors.

The Facility Attendant assists with daily operations of Old Fort Golf Club, a busy municipal golf course and driving range. Responsibilities include golf cart operations, driving range maintenance, facility cleanliness, customer service, and assisting with tournaments and special events. Employees are expected to maintain a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Essential Functions

• Greets and assists golfers and guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Cleans, stages, organizes, and prepares golf carts for daily play.
• Ensures golf carts are properly charged, stored, and inspected for damage or maintenance concerns.
• Collects, washes, and replenishes driving range balls throughout the day.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of driving range hitting stations, equipment, and surrounding areas.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the cart barn, cart staging areas, and other assigned facility areas.
• Assists with tournament and outing preparation, including cart staging, signage, and event setup.
• Assists golf shop personnel with daily golf operations and customer needs.
• Safely operates golf carts, range equipment, and other assigned machinery.
• Completes daily opening, closing, and operational duties.
• Demonstrates initiative, remains productive, and identifies tasks needing attention without constant supervision.
• Reports safety concerns, damaged equipment, and maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

• Work is performed typically standing and walking; however, sitting, bending, stooping, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying recreational equipment and supplies weighing up to forty (40) pounds is required on an intermittent basis.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

• Must be a minimum of sixteen (16) years of age.
• Three months experience as a facility attendant, customer service representative, or closely related experience preferred.

Special Certifications and Licenses

• Must possess current CPR/AED certifications or the ability to acquire same within three (3) months from date of hire.
• Valid driver's license required.
