Job summary

Riverhead Building Supply is seeking an Facility Attendant - Customer Service to assist customers in selecting building materials and supplies. The role includes cutting lumber to size and helping customers load purchases onto their vehicles, while maintaining orderly displays and inventory records.

This entry-level position requires some heavy lifting and while knowledge of building materials is helpful, bi-lingual candidates are a plus and weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and advise customer in selection of building materials and supplies.
• Cut lumber and related materials to size requested by customer.

• Mark prices on merchandise or price stickers according to pricing guides.
• Straighten materials on display to maintain safe and orderly conditions in sales areas.
• Cover exposed materials when required to prevent weather damage.
• Count material and record totals on inventory sheets.

For compliance purposes for RI transparency, the expected salary range is $17.00 - $20.00. Compensation will be based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
