Merakey is expanding its Wellness Village program in partnership with the City of Philadelphia. The Facility Attendant role provides direct care to adults in transitional housing, focusing on safety and adherence to the program schedule.

You will support service coordinators and managers while working a 3rd shift with weekend hours and a weekend rate. The role emphasizes recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, and homelessness.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Strong communication skills required.
• 18 years old minimum required.
• Prior experience in Residential or Drug and Alcohol treatment setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor residents behavior.
• Ensure a safe, harassment-free atmosphere conducive to recovery.
• Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety.
• Submit incident reports as directed by Merakey policy.
• Monitor residents during medication administration and report issues.
• Oversee assigned chores and ensure GI inspections are done properly.
• Complete trainings within mandated time frames.
• Ensure nutritious meals are served during your shift.
• Adhere to local procedures while performing duties.
• May perform other duties as required.

Help shape the future of recovery services in this transformative and rewarding role!**Earn** $17.87 per hour (earn an extra $1 per hour weekend rate)**Schedule:** Sat and Sun 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM**About the position:**This is a direct care position working with adults in a transitional housing environment. Our service populations are in the early stages of recovery from chemical and alcohol dependency, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, and homelessness. The main role of a facility attendant is to ensure the residents and facility are safe, and the program schedule is being followed. They are also acting as direct support to the supportive service coordinators, program managers and program directors.**Duties:**1. Monitor residents behavior.2. Ensure a safe, harassment free atmosphere conducive to recovery.3. Perform building checks for cleanliness and safety (this includes all rooms).4. Incident reporting to include writing incident reports, reporting immediately to supervisor, or program manager and following procedures as stated in Merakey policy.5. Monitor residents while they take their prescribed medication, report all medication monitoring issues to immediate supervisor and following Merakey incident report policy.6. Monitor assigned chores (if applicable) and ensure that general inspections (GI’s) are done properly.7. Complete assigned trainings within mandated time frames.8. Ensure nutritious meals are being served during your shift (if applicable).9. Adhere to local procedures while performing your duties.10.
