Description
Responsibilities and Duties: Preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and inspections relating to all hospital mechanicals.
HVAC
- Pneumatic controls, mixed air controllers, thermostats, heat and cooling controls valves and dampers
- Utilize computerized building management systems, Trane and Delta systems
- Trane, McQuay, Aaon & KKT rooftop units and chillers
- Filter changes
Plumbing
- Steam and condensate piping, traps and strainers
- Pumps including sewer ejector, sump, ground water, fuel oil, vacuum, recirculate and condensate
- Hot water heaters
- Toilets, sinks, tub/shower and drains
- Ice and water machines
Electrical
- MTU and Detroit Generator
- Reset circuit breakers, change fuses
- Fluorescent lighting and ballasts
- Various cords and fixtures
Boiler Room
- Steam and hot water boilers
- Boiler water testing and treatment
Other duties
- Snowplowing, snow blowing, shoveling and salting
- Patient electrical and mechanical beds and equipment
- Patient Nurse call system
- Televisions
- Doors, windows and locks
- Alarm systems
- Painting and wall repair
- Grounds
- Fireproofing
- Clinics
- Roof and roof drain maintenance
- Inspections as required
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Three years Maintenance experience required
- Must be able to work in a team environment and in a professional manner delivering the highest level of service.
- Must be capable of learning all aspects of maintenance and all regulations related to a hospital.
- Must be flexible in regards to rotating on call and coverage as needed.
- Complete all mandatory education and requirements of the hospital.
- HVAC, Boiler, Plumbing or Electrical background preferred.
- Rotating On-Call and weekends requirements.
- Must have and maintain a valid (clean) NYS Driver’s License.
Education
High School or better.
