Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical or trade-school preferred.
• 3+ years of UPW or related industrial water treatment experience.
• Hands-on work with RO, UF, EDI, filtration, and water chemistry.
• Ability to read P&IDs and process diagrams.
• Experience with water-quality instrumentation and testing equipment.
• Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech environments preferred.
• SCADA/BMS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain UPW systems including RO, UF, EDI, UV, filtration, softeners, degasifiers, and polishing loops.
• Monitor water-quality parameters and respond to alarms.
• Perform system rounds, data logging, and trend monitoring.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures and system trips.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, membranes, dosing, and sensors.
• Assist with commissioning, sanitation, startup, and expansions.
• Maintain CMMS records and operating logs; work with engineers and vendors.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Ultra-Pure Water Technician to support a new, high-tech manufacturing operation in Peoria, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with strong UPW, industrial water treatment, or high-purity water experience who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, system optimization, and supporting critical facility operations.

What You’ll Do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain UPW systems including RO, UF, EDI, UV, filtration, softeners, degasifiers, and polishing loops.
• Monitor water-quality parameters including resistivity, TOC, dissolved oxygen, silica, pH, and particle levels.
• Perform system rounds, data logging, trend monitoring, and alarm response.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures, abnormal readings, pressure/flow issues, and system trips.
• Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, filters, membranes, dosing systems, sensors, and instrumentation.
• Support membrane cleaning, resin changeouts, filter replacement, and chemical cleaning.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records, operating logs, quality data, and maintenance documentation.
• Assist with commissioning, equipment qualification, sanitization, startup, and system expansions.
• Work with engineers and vendors to improve reliability, efficiency, and water quality.

What You Bring

• High school diploma required; technical or trade-school education preferred.
• 3+ years of UPW, industrial water treatment, or related experience.
• Hands-on experience with RO, UF, EDI, filtration, and water chemistry.
• Ability to read P&IDs and system flow diagrams.
• Experience with water-quality instrumentation and testing equipment.
• Semiconductor, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other high-purity water experience preferred.
• SCADA/BMS experience is a plus.

Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, working at elevation, and working in mechanical or confined spaces with appropriate PPE.
