Job summary

FormFactor, Inc. is hiring a Facilities Technician Specialist in Livermore, CA to perform predictive and preventive maintenance and support cleanroom operations.

You will monitor BAS, troubleshoot critical systems, and ensure regulatory compliance while working in a semiconductor fabrication environment. Minimum 4–6 years of related experience is expected, with responsibilities spanning wastewater/DI water systems, building equipment, and safety-focused maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of related facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience with predictive and preventive maintenance practices.
• Familiarity with cleanroom operations, safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance on facility systems to maximize uptime.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, document, and support maintenance for wastewater treatment and DI water systems.
• Support staff in monitoring cleanroom performance per Manufacturing and Facilities specs.
• Use BAS to monitor equipment, correct malfunctions, and implement changes.
• Perform maintenance and repair of building equipment including HVAC and plumbing.
• Read and interpret drawings and manuals for accurate project completion.
• Serve as an emergency response team member.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, regulations and company directives.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, client and vendor information.
• Handle hazardous and universal waste per regulations and policies.
• Complete Facilities Work Orders as assigned.
• Work safely in Semiconductor FAB and lab environments with hazardous energies and chemicals.

Shift:

The regular hours for this position are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday from 6:00pm to 6:15am. You will receive a 15% shift differential for working on the night shift.

Job Description:

The Facilities Technician Specialist is responsible for performing and overseeing predictive and preventive maintenance activities to ensure maximum facility uptime. This role involves monitoring and troubleshooting critical facility systems, supporting cleanroom operations, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee contractors performing predictive and preventive maintenance on facility systems to maximize uptime.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, document, and support maintenance activities for wastewater treatment systems and DI water systems.
• Support staff in monitoring and managing cleanroom performance according to specifications set by Manufacturing and Facilities departments.
• Utilize the Building Automation System (BAS) to monitor facility equipment and systems, correct malfunctions, and implement necessary changes.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on building equipment, including HVAC and plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret operation and maintenance manuals, blueprints, schematics, engineering sketches, diagrams, and other technical drawings to ensure accurate and timely completion of projects.
• Serve as a member of the emergency response team.
• Ensure all work complies with industry standards, applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations, chemical handling, and safe work practices.
• Maintain confidentiality of company, client, and vendor information.
• Collect, handle, label, and oversee hazardous and universal waste in designated areas per regulatory requirements and company policies; maintain current training certifications.
• Complete Facilities Work Orders as assigned.
• Work safely in Semiconductor FAB and laboratory environments, which include hazardous equipment, energies, chemicals, magnetic fields, and radiation sources (note: magnetic fields may affect pacemakers).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range Explained:

This role in Livermore, California pays between $30.95 and $40.64 per hour, depending on your experience, skills, and background. Pay may vary in other locations.
