Job summary

Logan Health in Kalispell, MT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our facilities safe, clean, and reliable. You will handle electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds maintenance across our campuses.

This full-time role offers a stable schedule, competitive hourly pay of $22–$29.70 based on experience, and comprehensive benefits.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance, a valid license, clean driving record, ability to read blueprints, and strong safety knowledge.

Qualifications

• Two years of general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical experience preferred.
• A valid Current Driver's License is required.
• Driving record must not reflect major offenses within the last 36 months.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, and address routine maintenance problems per regulatory guidelines.
• Maintenance and repairs include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, lighting, carpentry, flooring, and related systems as applicable.
• Perform pest management and pesticide applications as needed.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities, including buildings, equipment, and grounds across Logan Health's diverse locations, including outbuildings, jobsites, and affiliates.

As a Facilities Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of essential maintenance tasks that support our commitment to providing high-quality care. From troubleshooting and repairs to routine inspections and preventive maintenance, you will help create a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for both our staff and patients.

Location: Logan Health Medical Center | Kalispell, Montana

Schedule: Variable Shift - Variable Hours | Full-Time - 40 Hours

Logan Health has updated the wage scales for our Facilities Technician positions. The new pay range, based on years of experience, is now $22 - $29.70 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in general maintenance, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical fields is preferred. A combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
• A valid Current Driver's License is required.
• Driving record must not reflect any major driving offenses (i.e., DUI, felony convictions involving a motor vehicle, suspended license, three or more speeding tickets, or other moving violations) within the last 36 months.
• If using a personal vehicle for Logan Health business, state law minimum liability coverage limits must be met.
• Proven ability in a variety of skilled trades related to facility and grounds maintenance, repairs, procedures, and techniques is preferred.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for facility and grounds maintenance and repairs is preferred.
• Strong understanding of occupational hazards and safety standards, including regulations set forth by OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and ASHRAE.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings related to construction is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.

Job Specific Duties

• Troubleshoot, perform preventative and predictive maintenance, repairs, and address routine maintenance problems in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Maintenance and repairs include, but are not limited to, electrical systems, plumbing, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, lighting, carpentry, flooring, vehicles, Life Safety equipment, laundry equipment, and pool/spa operations, as applicable for assigned area(s).
• Perform pest management duties and pesticide applications as needed.
• Safely and efficiently operate, secure, service, store, and clean assigned area(s) vehicles, machinery, equipment, and tools.
• Exhibit efficiency in the use of time, products, materials, and assist in controlling material and labor costs for assigned area(s).
• Utilize self-initiative to assume repair and maintenance assignments, working with minimal supervision.
