Job summary

Consumers Credit Union in Grand Rapids is seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain and upgrade our offices, handle routine and emergent maintenance, and support security and life-safety operations. You will partner with vendors and IT to ensure safe, reliable systems across the site.

The role requires 3+ years in facilities or related work, knowledge of building automation and HVAC basics, strong mechanical/technical aptitude, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work independently.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree highly preferred, or equivalent.
• 3+ years of related experience and/or training in the field.
• Knowledge of building automation systems and HVAC basics.
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Demonstrate strong written and communication skills.
• Analytical and problem solving abilities.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to work on a ladder and independently without direct supervision.
• Available outside normal hours for outages or maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and enhances interior and exterior appearances of retail and corporate offices.
• Perform facility maintenance and troubleshooting including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
• Monitor and respond to help desk tickets and maintenance requests.
• Assist with audits, renovations, and vendor management.
• Support security and life-safety systems and related operations.
• Oversee central supply processes and coordinate with IT on AV capabilities.
• Ensure compliance with MIOSHA, OSHA, and ADA requirements.
