Job summary

Exponent is hiring a Facilities Specialist to join the Operations team in Phoenix, AZ. You will coordinate maintenance services across plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and HVAC, ensuring uptime of facilities and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 3 years in facilities maintenance, strong computer skills, and customer-service oriented communication. On-site position with occasional emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 3 years of experience in the facilities maintenance field or related areas.
• Ability to set up and operate basic tools and machinery to perform assigned work.
• Ability to work in high places, such as roofs.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Must have strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.
• Must be detail oriented, able to excel under pressure as well as demonstrate strength, flexibility, and promptness in dealing with changes, and unanticipated challenges in a corporate environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, HVAC, and fire systems.
• Maintain a clean, safe office environment through janitorial coordination.
• Schedule approved maintenance and repairs.
• Support facility safety and regulatory compliance (federal/state/local, OSHA, EPA).
• Respond to emergencies for the firm 24/7.
