Job summary

Nordstrom, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Tech 1 to execute a preventative maintenance program and support troubleshooting and diagnostics for the building’s material handling equipment. You will design maintenance solutions and support department goals, working with the Operations team.

The role includes operating lifts and power tools and maintaining work orders. Applicants should have 1+ years of experience with conveyors and electrical systems, basic control knowledge, and strong

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing material handling systems and conveyors (motor/reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing).
• Support troubleshooting of basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components—photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tach, encoders.
• Safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools.
• Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all departments within the Nordstrom facility.
• Move up to 49lbs and stand/walk during shifts up to 12 hours, with/without accommodation.

Job Description

As a Maintenance Tech 1 you will be responsible for executing a preventative maintenance program,as well as supporting the troubleshooting and diagnostics repairs of the building’s material handling equipment.You will also support the Operations team by helping with designing maintenance solutions for difficult problems and maintenance projects.The Maintenance Tech 1 will play an integral role in accomplishing building and department goals.

A day in the life…

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures


• Support the troubleshooting,maintainingand repairing all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (such as motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing


• Support the troubleshooting of basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives,tachs, and encoders.

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below has been provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different for other locations.
Pay offers are dependent on the location, as well as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

$19.25 - $32.25 Hourly
