Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a Facilities Technician in New Jersey to oversee facility issues, schedule subcontractors, and perform routine maintenance, including lighting and minor plumbing repairs.

The role includes supporting office relocations and installing fixtures, with a focus on safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate maintains preventative maintenance routines, reviews invoices, and collaborates with management to ensure high standards of facility operations and service

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate issues and determine the need for subcontractor intervention.
  • Schedule, escort, and monitor contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed to specifications.
  • Proactively identify and address potential facility issues before they escalated.
  • Respond to facilities requests from SHI management and personnel in a timely manner, including during off hours.
  • Perform general maintenance, including replacing lightbulbs and minor plumbing repairs.
  • Assist with office relocations, including departmental and employee moves.
  • Install and maintain office fixtures such as monitors, pictures, whiteboards, and shelves.
  • Modify furniture and perform minor repairs on AV equipment.
  • Review and approve contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance with SOW and SHI's PO.

Job Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for evaluating facility issues, scheduling and monitoring subcontractors, and performing general maintenance tasks, such as replacing lightbulbs and making minor plumbing repairs. This role involves responding to facility requests, assisting with office relocations, and installing office fixtures and equipment. Additionally, the Facilities Technician develops preventative maintenance routines, reviews contractor invoices, and ensures facility efficiency and safety.

Role Description
  • Evaluate issues and determine the need for subcontractor intervention
  • Schedule, escort, and monitor contractors and vendors to ensure work is completed to specifications

  • The ability to effectively utilize applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook to enhance productivity and perform various tasks efficiently - Basic
  • Fundamental understanding of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems - Basic
  • Basic knowledge of office building systems, including Life Safety, HVAC, Security, Electrical, Plumbing, and Generators - Basic
Other Requirements
  • Completed High School Diploma required
  • Experience in a corporate facilities environment preferred
  • Must have a valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs.
Salary and Benefits
  • The base salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000.
  • The estimated on-target earnings, or OTE, which includes a base salary and bonus/commissions, are $45,000 - $55,000.
  • The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
  • Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
