Job summary

The Bay Club Company is seeking a dedicated associate to maintain building operations and deliver exceptional hospitality to members and guests across our clubs in California, including Novato.

You will follow standard procedures, perform preventive maintenance (pool care, plumbing, light electrical, painting), restock supplies, and ensure a clean, safe environment throughout shifts that may include weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or procedures.
  • Ability to identify problems, gather data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply the company's standard operating procedures.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of the building facilities including pool-related tasks, plumbing, electrical and painting.
  • Restock supplies and manage inventory.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Greet members and guests across the property.
  • Anticipate members' needs and follow through on requests.
  • Communicate promptly and keep up with follow-ups.
  • Participate in events, programs, meetings and training.
  • Represent the club professionally through appearance and responsive service.
  • Schedule varies and may include weekends/holidays.

This position is responsible for maintaining Club building operations as directed and to provide the highest level of service to the members. All associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service and hospitality to all members and guests and consistently demonstrate a positive and professional attitude.

Primary Job Functions
  • Learn and apply the company's standard operating procedures.
  • Preventive maintenance responsibility of the building such as pool vacuuming and testing / adjusting pool water chemicals, plumbing, light electrical and painting.
  • Restock supplies, replenish inventory and products.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
  • Greet members and guests through-out the property.
  • Understand and anticipate the needs of the property
  • Be attentive and listen carefully to the member's and follow through.
  • Follow up as required and communicate in a timely manner.
  • Be an active participant in events, programs, meetings and training.
  • Represent the club in a professional manner through image, dress, communication, and immediate follow through and response.
  • Schedule varies and may require weekend and holiday hours, days and evenings.

Skills & Knowledge

Ability to read/understand, analyze, and interpret general training manuals, professional journals, or technical procedures; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from children, managers, Associates, members, and the general public.

Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Experience
  • Minimum three (3) years of building operations experience
  • Professional, friendly manner and excellent customer service attitude and abilities
  • Strong verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Enthusiastic, responsible, and dependable team player
  • Self-motivated, takes initiative, anticipate the needs of others and willing to acquire new skills
  • Well organized and detail oriented
  • High cleanliness standards
