Job summary

Palm Beach Tan is seeking a Facilities Technician to oversee maintenance for its store network. The role is full-time with travel across assigned areas; there is no fixed office location and personnel start from home before visiting sites.

The technician will maintain tanning equipment and perform general repairs, with training provided as needed. Strong independence, communication with vendors, and willingness to work flexible hours are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent driving record; record check required.
• 2 years’ maintenance/construction experience; multi-site preferred.
• Basic understanding of building maintenance systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong customer service skills and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance to store locations in assigned area.
• Repair minor plumbing, lighting ballasts, doorknobs, etc.
• Maintain tanning booths and UV spray booths (training provided).
• Perform carpentry including sheetrock repair and painting.
• Coordinate with store ops staff, management and vendors.

Palm Beach Tan, the industry leader in Sunbed and Spray Tanning is looking for a Facilities Technician!

The Facilities Technician is responsible for all maintenance concerns for the stores in their assigned areas. The ideal candidate will have experience with and an understanding of the demands of building maintenance in a multi-unit setting, and a basic understanding of building maintenance systems.

This is a full-time position that requires frequent travel.

This position does not have a specific office location.

You will start your day from home, and travel to locations as needed to your assigned areas.

Responsibilities

• Providing general maintenance to store locations throughout above-mentioned area
• Repairing general items such as minor plumbing, light ballasts, doorknobs, etc.
• Maintaining tanning booths and UV free spray booths (training provided)
• General carpentry including sheetrock repair, painting
• Working with store operations staff; communicating with store management and vendors

Experience

• Excellent driving record (driving record check required)
• 2 years’ preferred experience with maintenance and constructions required (multi-unit experience preferred)
• Basic understanding of building maintenance systems
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to work independentlyOutstanding customer service skills
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime based on business needs
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
