Job summary

Silver Tree Residential, LLC is seeking a Facilities Technician in Dallas, TX. The role involves maintenance, preventive upkeep, and make-ready work for vacant apartments, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Work with Directors to manage maintenance and capital improvement activities at the property.
• Inspect, schedule and perform preventive maintenance on equipment per directions.
• Ensure timely, quality completion of work orders.
• Assist in make-ready process for vacant apartments.
• Deal effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers.

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS

• Working with Directors in managing all maintenance-related and capital improvement activities within an assigned property.
• Inspecting, scheduling and performing routine preventive maintenance on all appropriate equipment as necessary or as directed by the Directors.
• Capable of dealing effectively with supervisors, residents, vendors and co-workers.
• Satisfying work orders promptly and efficiently.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and various appliances, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, and refrigerators. Some familiarity with electricity, plumbing, and carpentry is required.
• Assist in the make ready process of vacant apartments to get them ready for new move-ins in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Prior property maintenance experience is preferred.
• Must have his/her own tools.
• A valid Driver's License and dependable transportation is strongly preferred.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3 years property maintenance experience. It is essential that the Facilities Technician reports to work at his/her regularly scheduled work hours, and have the physical capability to walk all around the property (including stairs), lift heavy items, and otherwise perform a variety of physical tasks regularly and as needed.
