Description

Job Summary

This individual is responsible for the general maintenance of Partners In Excellence facilities. This position includes duties both internal and external, covering the metro facilities and equipment maintained by Partners In Excellence. The primary focus is ensuring the safety of staff, clients, and visitors. The individual will assist management by observing and reporting incidents and events, maintaining confidentiality, and demonstrating strong professional skills.

This role involves using cleaning tools and products to create a healthy environment, disposing of trash appropriately, and making minor repairs with generalized maintenance skills.

Essential Functions

• Maintains buildings, facilities, and equipment
• Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal, grass cutting, bush trimming, garbage collection, signage, and lighting as required
• Operates, maintains, and repairs equipment, tools, and vehicles
• Secures warehouse contents against loss
• Evaluates inventory levels
• Suggests and implements improvements to distribution procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce costs
• Stocks delivered items and monitors inventory levels
• Meets physical demands as specified below
• Completes other projects and duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

• Valid driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience and training
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Safe working habits
• Vocational training in mechanical or construction fields
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
• Effective written communication skills

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Computer Skills

Knowledge of computers and relevant software is required.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements include operating tools, lifting up to 75 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds, standing, walking, and other physical activities detailed above. Visual and manual dexterity are also necessary.

Work Environment

The role operates mainly in a clinical therapy environment with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed. Standard office equipment is used.
