This role supports uninterrupted operations by maintaining environmental conditions and infrastructure within defined operating parameters***.***## **Responsibilities*** Maintain and optimize facility systems within operating parameters, including automated control of water, air, pressure, temperature, and dew point through PLC, BAS, and SCADA systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and adjust fire, electrical, mechanical, and gas systems using SCADA, PLC, DCS, and Building Automation Systems (BAS).* Perform rounds each shift. Record conditions of systems each shift from direct observation. Systems include, but are not limited to compressed dry air, cooling towers, boilers, fire pumps, emergency generators, bulk gases, ultra-pure water, chillers, vacuum, commercial water, commercial power, waste neutralization, bulk chemical distribution. Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while supporting control room monitoring activities.* Maintenance Activities: Respond to maintenance service requests. Complete assigned preventive maintenance activities. Troubleshoot instrumentation, control loops, transmitters (pressure, temperature, flow), control valves, VFDs, and gas delivery systems to minimize downtime. Utilize diagnostic tools and CMMS systems to Finalize maintenance documentation and support predictive maintenance initiatives. Support cleanroom environmental control systems including CDA, high-purity gases, and humidity/temperature control loops.* Other related functions as assigned.## **Required Qualifications*** Operative knowledge of air handlers, air compressors, boilers, chillers, gas delivery systems, and automated control systems.* General knowledge of semiconductor facilities operations for utilities, waste processing and water systems.* Experience troubleshooting PLC, DCS, or SCADA-based control systems* Experience with instrumentation calibration and control loop diagnostics* Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams* Experience supporting gas delivery and clean dry air (CDA) systems* Operating knowledge of dry air, inert gas pipefitting.* Basic computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Excellent communication skills.* Attention to detail.* Mechanical skill and affinity.* Self-starter, able to work with a sense of urgency.* Must be a US person (US citizen or US lawful permanent resident) as per DARPA contract.*Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.*## **Preferred Qualifications*** Associate or bachelor’s degree* Experience with instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature transmitters), VFDs, and control valves.* 2+ years of experience troubleshooting BAS, PLC, DCS, or SCADA control systems in industrial or semiconductor environments.* 4 years of experience in a semiconductor facilities environment.## **Salary Range**TIE Pays Industry-Competitive Salaries## **Working Conditions*** Uniforms and/or personal protection equipment (furnished)* May work around chemical fumes* May work around standard office conditions* May work around chemicals* May work around electrical and mechanical hazards* Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation* Use of manual dexterity (ex: using a mouse)* Climbing of stairs* Climbing of ladders* Lifting and moving 50 pounds## **Work Shift*** Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm* Occasional nights and weekends required## **Required Materials*** Resume/CV* 3 work references with their contact information; at least one reference should be from a supervisor**Important** **for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers:** You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
