Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Technical Manager to oversee a team responsible for mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and workforce development across a facility or portfolio. You will supervise staff, coordinate daily activities, and manage budgets while maintaining safety and reliability of building systems.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with tenants and vendors, and alignment with CBRE RISE values to drive quality, efficiency, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3–5 years of relevant experience or combination.
• Experience in staffing, training, coaching, and performance management.
• Ability to guide sensitive information and convey expectations.
• Leadership to motivate quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Strong MS Office knowledge (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent organizational skills and curiosity.

Responsibilities

• Provide formal supervision to employees and oversee training, development, and coaching.
• Coordinate and manage daily team activities and set schedules.
• Manage O&M for assigned facilities and assist in operating/capital budgets.
• Improve preventive maintenance programs and update maintenance manuals.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, tenant finish personnel, and technicians.
• Oversee building systems (fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, electrical) and stay current with trends.
• Communicate with tenants, clients, owners, and vendors; lead by CBRE RISE values.
