Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Facilities Tech Support for the Telecom Central team in Indianapolis to maintain and optimize critical infrastructure for NAS-related facilities. You will manage power, HVAC, cabling, and security, coordinating with engineers and contractors to ensure uptime and compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in facilities engineering, a relevant degree (or 4 extra years of experience), and US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• 8+ years of facilities engineering/management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent 4 years of experience.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, power distribution, cabling standards, and building infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing technical designs and contractor work for compliance with standards.
• Knowledge of regulatory and safety frameworks for critical infrastructure.
• Background in physical security standards for facilities.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Infrastructure management of facilities, including generators, HVAC, racks, cabling, and site security.
• Escort technical operations personnel to monitor visitors and protect restricted areas.
• Lead installation, testing, and maintenance of telecom equipment such as switches, routers, and fiber-optic cabling.
• Maintain and troubleshoot critical DC power systems, rectifiers, and battery backups.
