Nordstrom, Inc. in Riverside is seeking a Maintenance Tech 2 to execute a preventative maintenance program and troubleshoot building and material handling systems.

You will design maintenance solutions, lead safety procedures, and coordinate with Operations to meet facility goals. This role requires hands-on repair of conveyors, electrical systems, and controls, with opportunities to train junior technicians.

Qualifications

• At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, and building maintenance.
• Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.
• Basic knowledge of controls systems and PLCs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors.
• Diagnose using test equipment electrical and electronic control systems and components.
• Safely operate forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment.

## Facilities Tech 2 - West Coast Omni CenterApplylocations: Riverside, CAtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R-864023## **Job Description**As a Maintenance Tech 2 you will be responsible for executing a preventative maintenance program as well as troubleshooting and diagnostics repairs of the building and material handling systems. You will also support the Operations team by helping with designing maintenance solutions for difficult problems and maintenance projects. The Maintenance Tech 2 will also help develop plans on how to accomplish building and department goals.**A day in the life...*** Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures* Troubleshoot, maintain and repair all aspects of material handling systems & conveyors (such as motor/ reducer issues, belt tracker, belt lacing* Diagnose, using test equipment, electrical and electronic control systems and other related equipment, devices or components* Maintain and troubleshoot basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components-- photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.* Safely operate equipment: forklifts, scissor and boom lifts, hand tools, and energy management equipment to perform system support tasks as required* Working Knowledge of a work order system* Lead preventative maintenance procedures* Assist in leading training plans for service technicians* Create and close out work orders with data including labor hours, equipment maintenance and parts used* Maintain a positive working relationship across all departments within the Nordstrom facility* Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation**You own this if you have...*** At least 3+ years of experience with conveyors, electrical systems, & building maintenance* Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment.* Advanced knowledge of power tools, pneumatic, or hydraulic tools.* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.* Basic knowledge of controls systems & PLC’s.
