Job summary

TAC Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep building equipment running and perform preventive maintenance on facilities systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, and service electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and safety systems while coordinating with contractors on site.

Applicants should have 5+ years in maintenance, a valid driver's license, and preferably journeyman status. Safety, quality, and continuous learning are valued in our on-site team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in building maintenance or related field.
• Journeyman preferred.
• Ability to communicate issues and repairs clearly, both verbally and electronically.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests and handle emergency repairs.
• Maintain interior and exterior building surfaces; drywall, plastering, plumbing.
• Manage safety systems (fire suppression, extinguishers, alarm contacts).
• Use a multi-meter to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Operate fabrication equipment (weld, lathe, mill).
• Perform electrical work up to 480V, 3 phase.
• Handle lighting repairs, replacements, and upgrades.
• Inspect facility equipment to locate malfunctions and perform minor repairs.
• Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and air compressors.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and service generators.
• Assemble, disassemble, and install equipment and machinery.
• Maintain, clean, and store building equipment and infrastructure.
• Assess functionality of safety and electrical systems.
• Supervise contractors on site.
• Adhere to safety and health regulations.
• Clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

Overview

Candidate will maintain and keep the building equipment running, as well as conduct predictive and preventive maintenance on facilities equipment inside and outside the building. They will be responsible for repairs assigned that are typically of a complex nature and require a high degree of skill and thorough working knowledge of machine maintenance practices and techniques.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate issues and repairs verbally and electronically.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Journeyman preferred.
• 5+ years in the field required.
