The Faison Center is seeking a Facilities Team Member to perform preventive maintenance and upkeep for a safe, functional environment. You will execute repairs, maintain tools and supplies, and support shop operations to ensure smooth facilities services.

Responsibilities include following preventive maintenance schedules, completing repairs, updating maintenance records, stocking supplies, and assisting with meetings and organization as requested by supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical troubleshooting and light carpentry.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

The Facilities Team Member is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and general upkeep of The Faison Center's facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and welcoming environment. This position provides repairs and maintenance services as needed and maintains tools, equipment, supplies, and the maintenance shop to effectively perform assigned duties.

Essential Core Responsibilities

Maintenance

• Follows and executes a regular schedule of preventive maintenance and upkeep as coordinated with supervisor
• Completes regular walk-throughs of facilities and records and addresses any needed repairs
• Completes facilities upgrades as directed by supervisor to ensure the safety of staff and individuals served
• Assists with furniture and equipment assembly as directed

Repair

• Completes repairs as needed to facilities, equipment and furniture
• Ensures follow through and communication on all repairs requiring multiple steps that may span several days

Facilities Administration

• Reviews and updates Building Maintenance Requests database
• Ensures that supplies are stocked and in useful order
• Provides recommendations to supervisor regarding needed equipment, maintenance or repair
• Communicates effectively with supervisor, program and other staff regarding facilities activities
• Assists with organizational activities including meeting setup, storage organization and other duties as requested by supervisor
