Job summary

Community Hospital is hiring a Full Time Facilities Support Specialist to provide administrative and logistical support for our facilities. You will coordinate vendor activities, manage work orders, and assist with space planning and safety compliance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/ADA safety and compliance regulations a plus.
  • Must pass criminal background check; health screenings and vaccines as required.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first point of contact for internal facility requests and coordinate timely resolution.
  • Manage and track work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, and repair requests using facilities management software.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers for maintenance, repairs, and other facility-related services.
  • Support space planning and office moves, including coordinating furniture, supplies, and setup logistics.
  • Assist with building security, access control, and compliance with health and safety protocols.
  • Maintain inventory of facility-related supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor building systems such as HVAC, lighting, and plumbing and report any malfunctions.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify facility needs or safety concerns.
  • Assist in implementing emergency procedures and support incident response when needed.
  • Support sustainability and cost-saving initiatives related to facilities operations.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or (2) years college or technical school; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Exceptions to these requirements may be made on a case‑by‑case basis.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities/work order software (e.g., CMMS).
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, and other safety/compliance regulations a plus.
  • Must successfully pass criminal background check.
  • Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines.
