BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Engineer 1 to perform routine engineering assignments under supervision. The role develops professional know-how and supports manufacturing processes with standard techniques and clear objectives.

Responsibilities include preparing technical documents, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements while communicating with customers and vendors. Onsite in Erwin, TN with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; no experience required; chemical Engineering preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in writing and verbally.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates situations using standard engineering techniques and applies modifications.
• Plans investigations with clear objectives and limited possibilities.
• Prepares written reports, drawings and technical documents.
• Designs tests or experiments and analyzes data to plan work.
• Ensures compliance with contract requirements and division policies.
• Interprets technical specifications and communicates with customers, vendors and other departments.
