Job summary

PACCAR in Renton, WA is seeking a Facilities Custodian to maintain building systems, perform repairs, and support ITD facilities operations. You’ll troubleshoot, assist with events, set up rooms, and coordinate with contractors to keep services reliable.

Requirements include 1+ years in custodial or facility maintenance, experience with HVAC, electrical, or plumbing is a plus, a valid Washington driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and being on-call 24 hours/day with a 2 weeks on/4

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in custodial or facility maintenance.
• Experience with HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing or other technical crafts is a plus.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform repairs and maintenance work.
• Ensure building systems and associated equipment operate reliably.
• Assist internal departments with moving of furnishings and modular office systems.
• Monitor and coordinate work performed by outside contractors.
• Suggest methods to improve services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of facility tenants.
• Set up for office events and meetings.
• Provide support for Data Center and Network Operations Center
• Fire panel troubleshooting
• Oversee repairs performed by third party vendors
• Other duties as assigned

Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform repairs and maintenance work

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience working in custodial and other facility maintenance work.
• 1+ years of experience working with HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing and/or other technical crafts.
• 1+ year of customer facing experience
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License and excellent driving record required.
• Must be able to move and/or lift equipment (up to 50 pounds), climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.The workspace for this position is located in the Facilities area. The role requires the individual to engage in frequent sitting and walking.
• Must be available to work “on-call” 24 hours/day for emergencies. Overtime will be required, as needed. The current schedule is 2 weeks on and 4 weeks off.

Preferred Qualifications

• AutoCAD experience
• Knowledge regarding OSHA general safety standards
• Experience with building management systems
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including active listening, problem solving when under pressure, and facilitation.
