Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a facilities services manager to maintain and enhance conditions across a portfolio of coffeehouses in the San Francisco Bay Area. You will lead a supplier network, optimize investments and budgets, and ensure The Starbucks Experience aligns with brand standards.

The role requires strong project and budget management, vendor oversight, and the ability to coordinate across multiple stores (150+). Join us to support store operations and be part of partner development.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED or 4+ years US military experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in facilities or construction management, architecture, or business-related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Intermediate knowledge of database queries and analysis.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and in a timely manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Affiliated systems management experience (e.g., Work task management program, enterprise data).
  • 3+ years reporting, mobile business applications.
  • 3+ years facilities, construction or related mechanical trade with vendor management experience.
  • 3+ years capital and expense budget accountability.
  • 3+ years project management and preventive maintenance programs.
  • 3+ years retail or restaurant chain operations.
  • Ability to apply multidisciplinary business principles in cross-functional projects.
  • Negotiation skills to manage supplier contracts.
  • Knowledge of general construction and building trades.
  • Willingness to work out of San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Present business metrics, status/timelines and KPIs to influence partnership and Operations ownership for condition and quality.
  • Identify solutions for complex problems within SOP of the business.
  • Manage competing priorities and align impacted parties.
  • Forecast, execute and manage R&M and Facilities Capital investments within budget; ensure SOX compliance.
  • Manage supplier performance to optimize cost and service.
  • Oversee a portfolio of 150+ coffeehouses.
  • Manage an annual capital plan of $2.0M+ and an expense plan of $6.0M+.

Responsibilities
  • Present business metrics, status/timelines and KPIs to influence partnership and Operations ownership for condition and quality

  • Successfully manage competing priorities while ensuring all impacted parties are aligned
  • Forecast, execute and manage tasks for R&M and Facilities Capital investment within budget tolerance aligned with Store condition for areas of responsibility and execute SOX compliance tasks
  • Manage supplier performance to optimize cost, service, and meet financial targets for their assigned area of responsibility
  • Oversee a portfolio of 150+ coffeehouses
  • Manage an annual capital plan of $2.0M+
  • Manage an expense plan of $6.0M+
Qualifications
