Bezos Academy seeks a hands-on Facilities Services Manager to keep our Montessori-inspired preschools safe, functional, and ready for students. You will coordinate repairs, manage vendors, and drive preventative maintenance across multiple states, ensuring schools stay open and enjoyable environments for children.
This role reports to school leaders, travels to campuses, and partners with vendors to deliver reliable facilities services while maintaining compliance and safety standards.
As a Facilities Services Manager at Bezos Academy, you will play a hands‑on role in keeping our schools safe, functional, and ready to serve children every day. You will work across multiple states as we operate a network of Montessori‑inspired preschools in under‑resourced communities offered at no cost to families. You will be the trusted facilities partner for school leaders and ensure that their buildings, playgrounds, equipment, and critical systems are operating at their best while preventing issues before they disrupt learning.
This is a highly visible, action‑oriented role for someone who thrives on solving problems, building relationships, and making things happen. You will spend time in schools, walking campuses, identifying opportunities for improvement, coordinating repairs, managing vendors, and responding quickly when challenges arise. From resolving urgent maintenance, safety, or licensing concerns to leading school refresh projects and driving preventative maintenance efforts, this role will have a direct impact on the environments where children learn and grow. You will use available resources effectively, coordinate timely service responses, and build reliable working relationships with vendors, site partners, and school teams.
Success in this position isn't measured by open work orders or deferred maintenance; it's measured by schools that stay open, environments that support learning, and school leaders who know they have a dependable partner by their side. Help bring our mission to life by creating a safe, welcoming, and well‑supported environment in our pursuit of operational excellence.
