Job summary

State of Florida's Department of Corrections is seeking an OPS Facilities Services Specialist located at Suwannee Correctional Institution's Regional Maintenance Office. You will conduct on-site roof and interior inspections, identify assets, and input condition ratings into AIM (Facility Force) with photographic evidence.

The role requires extensive walking, ladder use, statewide travel, and cost estimates for repairs.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of experience computer experience to include Microsoft Suite.
• At least two (2) years of experience with analyzing data.

Responsibilities

• Facility Inspection and Assessment: Perform thorough walkthroughs and visual evaluations of building structures, including roofs, interiors, and exteriors.
• Asset Identification and Record Verification: Locate and verify capital assets, ensuring field data aligns with existing inventory documentation.
• Digital Data Entry and Reporting: Utilize state-issued tablets to document asset conditions, input ratings, and upload photographic evidence into AIM (Facility Force).
• Cost Analysis and Recommendation: Prepare and provide cost estimates for repairs or replacements of building components identified as deficient.
• Physical and Travel Requirements: Engage in extensive walking, ladder climbing, and statewide travel to complete inspection and assessment duties.
