Job summary

FirstEnergy Corp. is seeking a Facilities Project Engineer for open architecture and engineering work across new construction, renovations and facility upgrades. Location options include within an hour of Akron, OH or Reading, PA.

Requires a BS in Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and travel to project sites. PE license a plus; strong project management and vendor coordination are essential for success. You will lead design packages, budgets, schedules, QA, and interactions with multiple

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited).
• Minimum 3 years engineering work experience required.
• Professional engineer certification a plus.
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectural and engineering design packages for facilities projects.
• Review project documents for clarity and completeness.
• Perform detailed performance analysis of FirstEnergy facilities.
• Establish and monitor project budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate all phases of design, procurement, bid evaluation and award.
