  • Safely transport materials, equipment, and personnel using medium-duty trucks and handling equipment.
  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies and stakeholders to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, site protocols, and emergency preparedness requirements.
  • Support fleet operations: vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and compliance reporting.
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records for federal stakeholders and headquarters.

Job description

Allegheny Science & Technology (AST) is seeking an experienced Facilities Project Manager to support federal programs involving asset management, facility operations, maintenance projects, and property disposition. This position requires strong project coordination skills, the ability to work across multiple government organizations, knowledge of federal property regulations, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a safety-focused environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate multiple maintenance and repair projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $50,000 to $3 million, being executed by MSTS (M&O site contractor for the NNSS site), while helping ensure projects remain within established budgets and schedules.

  • Coordinate property accountability, excessing, and disposal activities in accordance with DOE, GSA, and applicable federal regulations.

  • Support day-to-day facility operations, including inventory control, maintenance coordination, and lock/key management.

  • Safely transport materials, equipment, and personnel using medium-duty trucks and material handling equipment.

  • Coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as other project stakeholders, to support operational and project requirements.

  • Ensure compliance with established safety procedures, site protocols, and emergency preparedness requirements.

  • Support fleet operations, including vehicle tracking, maintenance scheduling, and compliance reporting.

  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records and documentation for federal stakeholders and headquarters offices.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, facilities operations, property management, and/or federal site support.

  • Some knowledge of federal property disposal procedures and compliance requirements.

  • Ability to manage fleet operations and material handling logistics.

  • Forklift certification and experience operating equipment such as pallet jacks and lift tables, or the ability to obtain certification after hire.

  • Valid driver's license with experience operating medium-duty trucks (e.g., F750 or similar).

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience interacting with senior government and executive personnel.

  • Ability to work independently in a high-responsibility environment.

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Prior experience supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) or similar federal agencies.

  • Military background or experience working in structured, mission-critical environments.

  • CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or the ability to obtain certification after hire.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is $66,560 - $76,960.
