Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. in Wichita is seeking a Facilities Project Manager to lead facility layout planning, infrastructure strategy, and capital planning.

You will manage a team responsible for facilities planning and coordinate with Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, and Facilities to support site initiatives. The role combines office leadership with field time at the Spirit/Boeing Wichita site, offering growth within a dynamic, cross-functional environment and exposure

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience managing people, teams, or major cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead production facility layout planning, site seating strategy, and infrastructure planning to support operational and production needs.
  • Manage and develop a team responsible for facilities planning and coordination activities.
  • Oversee capital expenditure planning, project tracking, and reporting for facilities-related initiatives.
  • Serve as the focal point supporting Boeing Wichita integration efforts for Global Real Estate and Facilities workstreams.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Quality, Assembly, Procurement, Supply Chain, Machining, and Facilities to support site planning and operational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and direction for facility-related projects to ensure alignment with business priorities and operational requirements.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate updates to senior leadership.
  • Identify opportunities for facility improvements that increase operational efficiency and support production growth.
  • Support long-term facility planning initiatives and campus space utilization strategies.
