Job summary

Commonpoint Queens is seeking a dedicated Porter to support the Facilities Manager by leading maintenance and housekeeping across multiple locations. You will perform routine cleaning, room setups, and respond to building needs to ensure a clean, safe environment for members and staff.

This role requires physical stamina, ability to lift 50 lbs, and experience with cleaning equipment. You will coordinate tasks, work under pressure, and sometimes work evenings or weekends at busy community

Qualifications

• Minimum GED or high school diploma required.
• 3–5 years of experience, preferably in a not-for-profit organization.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and cultural competency.

Responsibilities

• Act as a Porter at multiple Commonpoint locations.
• Routine cleaning of buildings, classrooms, bathrooms and related spaces.
• Room set-ups and on-call cleaning as needed.
• Maintain lawns, shrubbery, and gardens.
• Snow removal from walkways, stairs and parking areas.
• Other duties as required by supervisor.
